Pixel 11 Base Model: What You Actually Get
The standard Pixel 11 is the one most people will consider. It sits at a price that overlaps with last year’s Pro models and the current iPhone 17.

Cameras. 48MP main sensor with OIS (larger sensor than the previous base model), 13MP ultrawide, and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto. Front camera is 10.5MP. Google claims improved low-light performance and Super Res Zoom up to 30x.
Battery. 4,985mAh typical capacity. Google rates it for 30+ hours of mixed use. Wired charging reaches about 55% in 30 minutes at 30W. Wireless charging is Qi2.2 at up to 25W via Pixelsnap magnets.
Software. Ships with Android 17 and a full 7-year promise of OS updates, security patches and Pixel feature drops.
Colours. Frost, Pistachio, Hibiscus and Obsidian.
Build. Aluminium frame, IP68 rating, roughly 197g.
The inclusion of a proper 5x telephoto on the base model is the biggest practical upgrade. Earlier base Pixels often skipped it. The larger main sensor should also help in low light. The Tensor G6 is built on a newer process than the previous generation, which Google says improves efficiency.
Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL: Where the Extra Money Goes
The Pro models add better displays, stronger cameras and more RAM on the higher storage tier.
Both Pro and Pro XL use Super Actua LTPO OLED panels that can drop as low as 1Hz and reach 3,600 nits peak brightness. The Pro keeps the 6.3-inch size; the Pro XL jumps to 6.8 inches. The higher brightness and better adaptive refresh help outdoors and with Always-On efficiency.
Camera upgrades are significant. Both Pro models move to a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultrawide with macro capability, and a 48MP 5x telephoto. They support Pro Zoom up to 120x. The front camera jumps to 42MP. Video features are more advanced, including higher-quality stabilisation options.
Battery sizes are 4,850mAh on the Pro and 5,115mAh on the Pro XL. The XL supports faster 45W wired charging and can reach higher percentages in 30 minutes. Both still claim 30+ hours of mixed use and the same 25W wireless charging.
RAM is 12GB on the 256GB variants and 16GB on the 512GB variants. Colours for both Pro models are Canyon, Fog, Olive and matte Obsidian.
The Pro XL is the one to choose if you want the biggest screen and longest battery in the non-foldable lineup. The regular Pro makes sense if you prefer a more compact phone but still want the better cameras and display.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold: The Premium Option
The foldable sits at ₹1,86,999 for the single 16GB + 512GB configuration. It is the most expensive Pixel Google has sold in India so far.
It keeps the book-style design with a large inner display and a usable cover screen. Exact panel sizes and battery capacity follow the usual Pixel Fold pattern of prioritising thinness over maximum capacity. Charging remains at 30W wired and 25W wireless. It also receives the full 7-year software commitment.
Unless you specifically want a foldable for multitasking or media, the Pro XL delivers more practical value for most people at a lower price.
Should You Buy a Pixel 11 Right Now?
The base Pixel 11 at ₹89,999 is the most interesting model for most buyers. You get a compact size, a proper telephoto lens, 12GB of RAM, a bright 120Hz display and seven years of updates. The jump from 128GB to 256GB base storage removes one of the old complaints about Pixels.
The price increase is real. Google has made the base model more expensive while giving you more storage. Whether that feels fair depends on how much you value the telephoto and the clean software experience.
Compared with the iPhone 17, which currently starts lower in India, the Pixel 11 offers more RAM, a dedicated zoom lens and Google’s AI tools. The iPhone counters with stronger sustained performance, faster charging in many tests, and usually better resale value. Choose the Pixel if you prefer Android and want the zoom lens. Choose the iPhone if ecosystem lock-in and long-term value matter more.
The base Pixel 11 is the sweet spot of the series for most people. The Pro models are worth the jump only if you specifically want the better cameras, brighter LTPO display or the larger screen.
If you are coming from a Pixel 8 or Pixel 9, the jump is noticeable mainly in the camera and efficiency. Coming from anything older, the combination of seven years of updates and the current camera system makes a stronger case.
